Daniel S. Hurd, D.O., F.A.O.C.D., F.A.A.D., F.A.S.M.S.
Dr. Daniel Hurd is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. He is the President and CEO of New River Dermatology and New River Aesthetics and has been in private practice since 1999 where he serves the entire New River Valley and Wytheville with superior Dermatologic care.
Angie Hurd, PA-C
Angie received her Physician Assistant Bachelor of Science degree from the Jefferson College of Health Sciences in 2004. She then immediately began a career in dermatology in Bluefield, Virginia, because of her fascination with the many different conditions that can affect the skin.
She is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants, and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Joe A. Sheets, PA-C
Joe A. Sheets, PA-C graduated from The College of West Virginia in Beckley, West Virginia with a Bachelor of Physician Assistant. Joe has over 16 years of experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, of which ten years have been in dermatology.
Kelsey Wolford, PA-C
Kelsey, earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Emory & Henry College, before beginning her career in dermatology. She is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants, and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Kelsey chose dermatology because she wants every patient to feel powerful, beautiful, capable and strong. Each day she works hard to improve the quality of life for her patients by treating a variety of skin conditions we can SEE!
Emily Woodall, PA-C
Emily Woodall, PA-C, has been a physician assistant specializing in dermatology since 2002. She received her bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University where she graduated cum laude with a degree in biology. She then attended the prestigious Wake Forest University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program and graduated with academic distinction.
Emily is certified by the National Commission of Certification for Physician Assistants and licensed through the Virginia Board of Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Christina “Nina” Rice, FNP-C
Nina is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Masters Degree in Nursing. Born and raised in Giles County, Virginia, she went on to earn her Associates degree at Wytheville Community College prior to receiving her Bachelor’s and Masters at Bluefield College.
Nina began practicing with our team in April of 2022, and is excited to provide excellent care to the patients of New River Dermatology. She is passionate about helping others, and has had an interest in the medical field since she was a young girl. Nina is practicing at our Blacksburg and Roanoke office, which fulfills her excitement to meet more of the dynamic Southwest Virginia community she has grown to know and love.
